RED WINE - CABERNET SAUVIGNON / MERLOT
With 12 months in a barrel, this wine not only highlights its origin but also marks a milestone as the first label launched in San Juan de la Vaquería, designed by the talented Marco Gómez. Additionally, it pays special tribute to the historic Hacienda de San Juan de la Vaquería. As early as 1629, "La Vaquería de San Juan" was referenced, which, over the centuries, evolved into a Hacienda. Its ancient walls, whose existence dates back to before 1607, could be considered the oldest in all of Coahuila. This valuable historical legacy is supported by original documents from the Marquisate of Aguayo's estate, specifically in Title 55.
VERDEJO CASK AGED ON LEES 4 months in acacia barrels
Verdejo, a variety originating from the Rueda region in Spain, has been selected by winemaker Gerardo Aguirre Lobo as a key bet for our project in San Juan de la Vaquería. During his master's degree at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Gerardo identified the high consumption and appreciation for this varietal, which motivated him to propose its cultivation in our terroir. Thanks to the unique characteristics of our lands, ideal for the adaptation of this grape, we have managed to highlight its potential in the region. On the label, the artwork by Marco Gómez, in collaboration with Sofía Aguirre, uses chalky tones to reflect this adaptation and emphasize the connection between the varietal and the soil of Saltillo.
